Collective Bargaining Update August – October 2015

Anoka Police Department Sergeants:
Term: 2015-2016
Wages: 2% for 2015, 3% for 2016
Economic changes: Uniform allowance for plain clothes increased to $235. City paid life insurance increased to $15k.

Apple Valley Police Department Sergeants:
Term: 2016-2017
Wages: 2.75% for 2016, 2.75% for 2017

Carver County Supervisors:
Term: 2016
Wages: 2%
Economic changes: Improvements to performance matrix.

Chatfield Police Department:
Term: 2016-2017-2018
Wages: Same rate as the highest increase offered to any other city employee group (per pre-existing language)
Economic changes: Implement “adjusted wage schedule” and incorporate new wage scale into the labor agreement. Increased uniform allowance to $725 in 2016, $775 in 2017, and $850 in 2018. Elimination of “good standing” requirement to be eligible for severance pay upon retirement.

Columbia Heights Police Department:
Term: 2015-2016
Wages: 2.25% for 2015, 2.5% for 2016
Economic changes: No contribution increase on insurance for 2015 or 2016 – $30 per month health savings account contribution for both years. Assignment pay frozen for 2015 and 2016. No longevity increase for 2015 but dollar amount increase to equal 2% at 4 years, 4% at 8 years, 6% at 12 years, and 8% at 16 years for 2016.
Language changes: Shift defined for purposes of shift bidding. Officers will only bid hours and not days off, etc.

Cottage Grove Police Department Sergeants:
Term: 2015-2016-2017
Wages: 2.5% for 2015, 2.75% for 2016, 2.75% for 2017
Economic changes: Paramedic bi-weekly differential of $125 in 2015, and $110 in 2016 and 2017.

Douglas County Sheriffs Department:
Term: 2014-2015
Wages: 2% for 2014, 2% for 2015 plus .5% for change in insurance
Economic changes: Employer contribution to health insurance – full for single, $710 per month for family in 2014; full single, $630 per month for family for 2015. Sunset longevity for 100% severance (was 50% of sick leave) – applies to pre 5/2007 employees. Four hours of sick leave to PEHCSP quarterly if no sick leave is used. One additional hour shift differential Monday – Thursday.

Duluth Police Department Lieutenants:
Term: 2015-2016-2017
Wages: 2% for 2015, 2.5% for 2016, 2.5% for 2017
Economic changes: 24-hour duty pay of 2% effective 1/1/16. Employer will pay 90% of monthly premium for single employee plan and 80% monthly premium for family plan. Employer provided coverage for retired employees will begin once employee begins to receive PERA retirement pension benefits.

Farmington Police Department Sergeants:
Term: 2016-2017-2018
Wages: 2% for 2016, 2.5% for 2017, 2.75% for 2018 Economic changes: Removed hard cap for PTO accrual.

Lakes Area Police Department:
Term: 2015-2016
Wages: 2.5% for 2015, 2.5% for 2016
Economic changes: FTO pay increased from 75 cents to $1 an hour. SLO and investigator stipend increased for $100 to $125 per month.

Lyon County Sheriffs Department:
Term: 2016-2017-2018
Wages: 2.5% increase to merit scale each year

Steele County Sheriffs Department:
Term: 2015-2016
Wages: 1.5% for 2015, 2.5% for 2016
Economic changes: All sergeants moved to C-43 of new pay scale on 12/27/14. All sergeants placed at the net highest step above their 2014 pay rate and advanced one step on their anniversary date. Employer will contribute $1,625 towards deductible for single health insurance coverage and $3,250 towards family on base insurance plan. ACA language added.

Stillwater Police Department:
Term: 2015-2016
Wages: 3% for 2015, 3% for 2016
Economic changes: Add shift differential of 50 cents an hours. Increased longevity by $16-$52.
